Since 1786 Barcelona has held an annual Christmas market called the Fira de Santa Llúcia. This charming market is traditionally held in front of the Barcelona Cathedral. Even if you are not buying Christmas decorations, it is worth a visit. You will find the popular caganers, caga tió logs and nativity scene miniatures (pessebres). The market typically opens in the beginning of December or end of November and ends around the 23rd of December.
